Since 1970, Camera Rochester has sought to stimulate interest in photography for people in the Greater Rochester Area.
The photographic skills of the club's members are as diverse as the members themselves. Graphics, nature, portraits, landscapes, close-up (macro), fine art and technical photography are just some of the subjects that make our meetings interesting. Competitions for large and small color prints, monochrome prints, and digital submissions are held on the first Monday of each month. Programs, including demonstrations and lectures, occur on the third Monday of the month. Members learn about photography's past, present and future, as well as state-of-the-art techniques. A lending library of photography books has been created from which members can borrow. The club's activities include exhibitions of our members' best images at local Rochester galleries.
Camera Rochester members help each other learn more about cameras and photography in a friendly atmosphere. It is never too early or late to start taking photographs. If you enjoy photography, then please join us.
